Welcome Rev. Dr. Andrew Stager!!!
Rev. Dr. Andrew R. Stager begins his work with us this Sunday. You can definitely call him “Andy,” although if you call him “Dr. Stager” once or twice every year, it will tickle him.He has lived and pastored in South Carolina, South Korea, Switzerland, and Colorado.
He is a poet, a memoirist, a fly fishing guide, a therapist (in training), an insufferable grammarian, and a grad school addict. He recently contributed a chapter to A Verb and Not a Noun: Days of Ash—U2’s Lenten Liturgy, and will publish his memoir, The Convert: Ego, Obsession, and a First Year Fly Fishing in early November.
He’s been married to Ellie for 24 years, and they have three children: Deacon (20), Owen (18), and Cliffe (15). Andy roots for the Cleveland Guardians and Cavaliers. He collects books, ties flies, and fishes as much as possible.
The Stagers make their home is in West Wash Park, Denver. Andy is thrilled to become your pastor and looks forward to growing alongside of you in the days to come.
